Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in collaboration with Omarog Company Nigeria Limited, has concluded a capacity building training programme for teachers in oil and gas host communities in Delta State.

The training was focused on equipping teachers with skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The programme, which drew 40 participants from oil and gas host communities across the state, was designed to enhance the capacity of teachers from the area to effectively deliver STEM subjects in their respective schools.

A facilitator, Tope Adeosun, commended the organisers for providing teachers with the opportunity to build their STEM skills, noting that this would, in turn, boost the skills of their students.

He thanked the management of Omarog and NCDMB for their commitment to education and capacity building in the region, noting that the training would have a positive impact on the educational sector in the host communities, and ultimately, the development of the country.

The training is a testament to the commitment of NCDMB and Omarog to supporting education and capacity building in the oil and gas industry. The successful completion of the programme is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of education in oil and gas host communities in Delta State.

The participants expressed their appreciation to NCDMB and Omarog Company Nigeria Limited for the opportunity to participate in the training, stating that it would enhance their teaching skills and enable them to make positive impacts on their students.
