The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in collaboration with 17asus Resources Limited has concluded a one-month training programme on plumbing and water treatment for 50 youths in Edo State. The training, aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical skills, provided participants with hands-on experience in plumbing and water treatment, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial prospects.

The Lead facilitator, Mr. Peter Omonua, described the training as amazing and commended the NCDMB for its commitment to youth development. “The programme aligns with NCDMB’s mandate to develop local talent and strengthen industry expertise, promoting economic growth, job creation and sustainable development in the region.

“The successful completion of the training demonstrates the organisations’ dedication to empowering youths and driving economic growth.

“The NCDMB and 17asus Resources Limited remain committed to initiatives that foster skill acquisition and entrepreneurship, contributing to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

“The trained youths are expected to apply the acquired skills in various industries, including construction, water treatment and plumbing, thereby reducing dependence on foreign expertise and promoting local content development,” he stated.
