Omni-Blu Aviation (OBA) Limited has regained its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) following a review by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and its appeal review panel.
The reinstatement, marked by reference number OBA/AOC/12-15/002, comes after the NCAA cleared Omni-Blu Aviation of any wrongdoing in a recent investigation.
In a statement issued on Monday, Omni-Blu Aviation expressed its appreciation for the NCAA’s review process, which led to the favorable decision.
The NCAA, in its letter dated February 28, 2025 (Ref: NCAA/DGCA/DLS/CS/2025/013), confirmed that Omni-Blu Aviation provided evidence demonstrating that the falsified report for avionics equipment on the Sikorsky S76C+ helicopter (MSN 760486, Reg. Mark 5N-BQG) was orchestrated by the aircraft’s owner/operator.
The NCAA concluded that Omni-Blu Aviation had no involvement in the events leading to the falsification and found no evidence of intent or knowledge of the falsification on the part of the company.
The reinstatement of the AOC is an achievement for Omni-Blu as it marks its 10th anniversary this year since obtaining its original AOC and commencing commercial flight operations.
The company also took the opportunity to thank its clients and partners for their support. The company said the outpouring of support through calls and messages reinforced its resolve to uphold its values of excellence.
“Omni-Blu Aviation is poised to continue delivering exceptional aviation services while maintaining its unwavering commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. The reinstatement strengthens our reputation as a trusted and reliable operator in Nigeria’s aviation sector,” the company said.
