 The host team of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL)2nd  round, Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors edged Nmanko Patigi BSC in one of the opening games of the league at Moonshine Arena, Nnewi High School.

The team had to secure the win the hard way after going down with two goals ,one each from  Blessing Elijah  and  Jamiu Kunle in the second period.

 However, a substituted player from Anambra Warriors Adams Taiwo scored three goals to earn a 3-2 win for the host.

Holders and Africa’s top-ranked beach soccer team, Kebbi BSC defeated 2021 league winners, Kada BSC 7-5 in the second match of the day.

Ekene Adams and Taiwo Adams both scored three goals while Fuad Badmus converted a goal for Bashar Samaila’s led side.

 Meanwhile, the first game of the round saw Kebbi United secured a 7-5 win to avenge their 5-2 loss against Jigawa Golden Star BSC.

Sadiq Umar emerged as the star of the match with four goals for Kebbi United BSC coupled with two goals by Sodiq Balogun.

Bagudu Hamza (brace), Idowu Akintunde, and Dahiru Sabi’u scored for Jigawa.

The opening games of the second round of the league was well attended by dignitaries like the Coordinator of the league and President of African Beach Soccer Union (ABSU) Mahmud Hadejia, Chairman of Anambra Beach Soccer Association, Professor Victor Madubuko, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Innoson vehicle manufacturing Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma and other sport loving people of Anambra state.

Chief Chukwuma performed the ceremonial kick off of the second round round.
