Twelve Sub committees have been constituted and charged with the task of putting in place well organised National Youth Games hosted by Delta State.
Announcing the Sub committees during a meeting of the Local Organising Committee for the games in Asaba, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Chief Solomon Ogba said Games Village Management has Peter Itawansa as chairman while Francis Egwudiuzor is the secretary, Protocol and ceremonial is headed by Chief Chinoye Daphey-Aliyu while Sylvanus okotoko is the Secretary.
For the Media and Publicity Sub Committee, Harrison Ocholor is chairman while Mrs Okonma Franca is the secretary, Onos Oborevwori heads the Technical Sub Committee with Christian Chiekwe serving as Secretary, the Facilities sub committee has chief Victor Onogagamue as Chairman and Dickson Mordi is the secretary, while SP. Curtis Omorhienrhien takes charge of the Security sub committee while mr Anthony Ojei is the secretary.
Other News
Other sub committees announced by Chief Ogba include Feeding and Accomodation Sub committee which is headed by Odemerho Francis while Mrs.Blessing Ogbaudu is the secretary, the Medical sub committee has Dr.Anthony Enebe as Chairman while Mrs Rita Daibo is the secretary, Transport sub committee has Onoriode Omajajah as chairman while Edwin Onoyona will serve as Secretary.
Chief Ogba added that Mobilisation sub committee will be chaired by the Commissioner for Youth, Barr. Harry T. Trakiriowei while the Chairman House Committee on Sports and Youth Development, Emmanuel Sinebe takes charge of the Hospitality sub committee, finally The Games Secretariat will be headed by the Director General of the Delta State Sports Commission, Ohwojero Festus with Emoni Williams Esq is the secretary.
Chief Ogba called on the sub committees to work assiduously towards achieving a successful organization of the youth games, noting that excellence and dedication to duty should be the watch word of all sub committees.
