NASS Deputy Speaker appeals to Imo electorates to vote Uzodinma’s re-election

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Benjamin Kalu, has urged Imo electorates to vote for governor Hope Uzodinma’s re-election bid.

Kalu who authorised his Special Advisers on Special Duties Dr. Cliff Ogbede and Inter-party affairs, Dr. Jerry Nwohuakanwa to brief newsmen on his reasons for supporting Uzodinma’s re-election said the governor has done well in first tenure to desrve a second term.

He particularly noted that the South East will benefit more from the federal government if governor Uzodinma returns to power.

Kalu also assured that the state will get a good support from the National Assembly if he is re-elected.

He said “The Deputy Speaker and his team are totally in support of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s re-election bid and will continue to partner with the Governor and the state by attracting more federal government presence in the state.

“In order to sustain the pace of development in Imo Hope Uzodinma should be returned for another four years.

He Highlighted some of his numerous achievements to include “Imo road revolution and urban renewal programs education,healthcare and agricultural developments in the state,the Special Skillup Imo program, reconstruction and recovery of government assets and many more.

To ensure his unflinching support for the governor, the deputy Speaker said he would be joining the APC family at the grand finale of the governorship campaign in Owerri on Wednesday.
