Content creator and singer, Nasboi has recounted his humble beginnings in the entertainment industry, revealing he had to borrow iPhones to make comedy skits six years ago.

The entertainer, whose real name is Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, stated this in an X post on Monday.

Nasboi expressed gratitude to God for his successes in the industry since then.

“6 years ago I had nothing. I would beg for an iPhone to make skits..Thank you God.
I’m not the most talented
Buh you chose me,” the Osun State-born content creator wrote.

Nasboi, 33, first pursued a career in music before transitioning to comedy.

He gained widespread fame through viral skits on Instagram, particularly for his spot-on imitation of popular singer Davido, earning him the nickname “Low Budget OBO.”

His breakthrough in comedy came after facing challenges in the music industry, leading him to create short humorous videos that resonated with audiences.

Nasboi later returned to music, achieving success with his 2023 hit single “Umbrella” featuring Wande Coal, which sparked a popular social media challenge.
