The Women for Justice group in Nasarawa State is grieving the loss of six members who lost their lives while actively participating in protests following the Appeal Court’s decision that overturned David Ombugadu’s victory.

The women, gathering over the weekend, paid tribute to these fallen heroines, honoring their commitment to seeking justice in the ongoing legal battle for Ombugadu’s win under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18th election.

Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic losses, Mr. James Alu, the group’s chairman, stated, ” we remember the sudden deaths of our six heroines who began this struggle with us from March 19. They paid the ultimate price as fallen heroines, and we’ll forever cherish their sacrifices in our fight for justice.”

Alu encouraged continued perseverance, assuring the women that their sacrifices will not be in vain. He emphasized the cost of justice but stressed its significance.
