The Sports Writer’s Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Nasarawa State Chapter, paid a congratulatory visit to Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
The visit aimed to celebrate Danladi’s elevation and posting to the ministry while exploring opportunities for a productive partnership to achieve the ministry’s goals and the association’s aspirations.
During the visit, yesterday, SWAN Chairman Comr. Isa Mohammed praised Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointing a qualified candidate with a profound understanding of sports and youth development. Mohammed expressed confidence in Danladi’s capabilities and requested increased support from the ministry to enable SWAN to fulfill its duties effectively and professionally.
The association also sought assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development for the participation of SWAN members in the upcoming SWAN National Triennial Elective Congress, where one of their committed members, Eche Amos, is vying for the position of National Deputy Secretary-General. SWAN believes that Amos’ candidacy represents a promising opportunity for the association’s growth and influence.
Responding to the visit, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi thanked SWAN for their visit and acknowledged their professionalism in reporting on the ministry’s activities. He assured the association of his commitment to strengthening their bond and promised to consider their requests for support.
Danladi also emphasized the importance of responsible journalism, urging SWAN members to uphold ethical standards and avoid negative reporting, as it hinders societal progress.
