Comrade Adamu Bako Ninga, the newly inaugurated chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, has vowed to bring unity and a renewed strategic focus to the party in a bid to challenge the ruling party in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Speaking after taking the oath of office on Monday 11th November, 2024 at the PDP party Secretariate on jos road, Lafia, administered by Barrister Muhammed Danjuma, Ninga expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, pledging to address internal conflicts and build a strong, cohesive front.

“The PDP may have its challenges, but we are a family,” he stated. “My mission is to reconcile with all members, including those who may feel aggrieved, and to demonstrate that we can unite for a common goal.”

Ninga stressed that achieving unity within the party is essential to displacing the ruling party, which he claims has brought hardship to the people of Nasarawa for nearly a decade. “Power ultimately comes from God, and while we may not hold it at present, our focus must be on carefully planned strategies,” he said. “Our aim is to liberate our people, who have suffered under this administration for nine years.”

The PDP chairman also outlined his vision for leading with integrity and transparency, assuring members that his leadership will prioritize inclusivity and teamwork. “I intend to provide good governance within the party, ensuring every member, especially my executive, is included in decisions and efforts,” he said. “With the experience I’ve gained from working alongside past chairmen, I am confident that I can steer the PDP toward victory in 2027.”

Recall that the Nasarawa chapter of the PDP had conducted it’s congress on the 4th of November,2024 at the PDP party Secretariate at jos road, Lafia Nasarawa state capital which Adamu Bako Ninga was declared winner of the election to replace Hon. Francise Orogu whose Tenure had elapsed.
