The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has said there is no leadership crisis in the state house of assbly as reported and circulated in some media outlets.
Hon Jonah Ali Dizaho, Chairman House Committee on Information while clearing cleared the air in a briefing with newsmen on Thursday in Lafia, described the situation as fake news.
“Our attention has been drawn to news circulating in some media since yesterday that the House is in leadership crisis, the House has no leadership issue
” The news was carried by Nasarawa Mirror, Daily Post among others with tittle, “fresh crisis looms in NSHA”
” Nasarawa State House of Assembly has no leadership crisis.We are one family and united for the progress and development of the state.
“We are working together to bring speedy development to the State, just yesterday we passed two executive bills
” The news has been carried by mischief makers, who do not wished the House well in its legislative duties,” he said.
He added that the House remained united while urging the public to disregard the reports in its entirety.
The information Chairman further reaffirmed that Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara ( APC- Awe South) remains the majority leader of the House at the moment
” We don’t have issue with Majority leadership position. Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara is the House Majority Leader
” Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu was the Majority Leader before the Appeal Court Abuja ordered for re-run in five polling units of Agaza ward of his constituency and he won his re-run election,” Hon Jonah said.
He advised journalists and other media outlets to adhere strictly to their professional ethics by avoiding writing fake news and misleading the public.

“We are not going to hesitate to engage security agencies to bring the perpetrators of the fake news to book,” h
He however, assured that the House would continue to work in unity and peace for the overall development of the House and the state at large.
