• Targets APC victory across 147 wards

The campaign organisation supporting the governorship ambition of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has intensified its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State with the inauguration of 312 coordinators and women leaders across the state.
The WADADA PROJECT Advisory Council, Karu Local Government Area, on Monday, inaugurated 18 Development Area Coordinators, 147 Electoral Ward Coordinators and 147 Ward Women Leaders.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Campaign Advisory Council, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, charged the newly inaugurated officials to take the campaign to the grassroots and work towards delivering victory for Wadada and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.
Yakubu, who is also Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development and Coordinating Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, said the appointments were a call to duty and required commitment, mobilisation and measurable results.
“You are being commissioned into an assignment that has no any other thing than result. This is a political mobilisation platform committed to the support and mobilisation of citizens in promoting the Wadada Governorship Project,” he said.
He urged the coordinators to deepen voter engagement, strengthen the APC’s grassroots presence and mobilise support for Wadada across the 13 local government areas of the state.
Yakubu also called on APC stakeholders to shun divisive tendencies and work together to sustain the development achieved under the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The campaign received financial backing from some political stakeholders, with former Nigerian Ambassador to Sierra Leone and Chief Protocol Officer to the First Lady, Ambassador Henry Omaku, donating N5 million to the organisation.
APC flag bearer for Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency and member representing Kokona East in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, also donated N1 million.
Other dignitaries who expressed support for Wadada’s ambition included the Nasarawa State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Isaac Danladi; Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry, Hon. Mohammed Ottos; former lawmaker, Hon. Abdullamid Kwarra; Chairman of City Boy Movement in the state, Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi Jaji; and other APC stakeholders.
The newly inaugurated officials pledged to mobilise support for Wadada and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
