The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has felicitated with Dr. (Mrs). Akinkurolere Olanike Olufunke on her appointment as the Acting Chairman of the Council of Heads of Polytechnics and colleges of Technology in Nigeria (COHEADS).
A statement to this effect signed by the President of NAPS, Comrade Anidi Samuel said the appointment is a testament to her unique leadership qualities, astute professionalism and proven capacity for excellent service delivery.
It reads, “A seasoned academic and administrator, Dr. Olufunke’s appointment to the exalted office in the COHEADS leadership architecture is a testament to her unique leadership qualities, astute professionalism and proven capacity for excellent service delivery. She has remained an educationist par excellence, never relenting in the pursuit of academic excellence and sustainability of Technology in Nigeria’s Educational sector.
“Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Olanike Olufunke Akinkurolere, FNSE has shown exemplary leadership since assuming duty at the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, in 2014 as the very first female, and second substantive Rector of the Institute.
“On behalf of Nigerian Polytechnic Students, we congratulate you on the attainment if this significant milestone in your professional career and we wish you a successful tenure of office.”
