Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen has opened up on his difficult final days at Napoli, alleging that he was badly treated by the Italian club, BSNSports.com.ng reports

Speaking about his experience in Naples, the striker revealed that his relationship with the club deteriorated following a controversial social media post on TikTok.

“After the club’s TikTok, everything changed. I was insulted, and no one ever apologized,” Osimhen said.

The Nigerian international claimed he became a target of abuse and felt unprotected by the club hierarchy during the episode.

“I was the victim of racist insults: they treated me like a dog. I’m not a puppet,” he added.

Osimhen’s fallout with Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, reportedly played a significant role in his eventual departure from the Serie A side.

The 25-year-old striker also disclosed that former Napoli coach Antonio Conte was keen on working with him.

“Conte wanted to keep me: I would have liked to work with him,” Osimhen stated.

Osimhen enjoyed a prolific spell at Napoli, playing a key role in the club’s domestic success before his relationship with the management soured.
