BSNSports.com.ng can report that Italian Serie A champions Napoli intervened to stop Al Hilal from selling jerseys featuring the name of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Recent reports in the Saudi press suggested that the 26-year-old Nigerian had signed a three-year contract with Al Hilal, which would net him a total salary of €120 million during this period.

According to the Turkish newspaper Akşam, Osimhen’s jersey, which he supposedly agreed to wear for €40 million per year, was made available for purchase.

However, these jerseys were quickly removed from the club’s official online store shortly after being listed.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis contacted Al Hilal, emphasizing that Osimhen is still under a loan contract with Galatasaray, which makes it legally inappropriate to sell his jerseys.

De Laurentiis confirmed that Osimhen’s contract with Galatasaray runs until June 30, and requested the immediate removal of the jerseys to avoid any potential legal issues.
