Napoli director Mauro Meluso has revealed new contract talks are underway with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
Meluso says Osimhen is back in Naples after a spell at home in Nigeria
“Osimhen is back,” he said.
“The medics will evaluate him to see when he will be back on the field, it was predicted to be five or six weeks out when he first suffered the injury.
“We have been talking about his contract for months, so even if the negotiations are getting on a bit, we will continue along the right path to take.”
On the outstanding Giacomo Raspdori, Meluso added: “Raspadori was an important investment by the club and it was a long-term vision, because he has great technical qualities and is also a wonderful person. He is one of the regular starters for Italy and that fills us with pride.”
