Napoli has reportedly requested two Liverpool players plus a cash fee in exchange for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, as the Premier League side expresses strong interest in the Nigerian forward.

Valter De Maggio via Sportskeeda said Liverpool have proposed a swap deal involving Federico Chiesa and Darwin Núñez for Osimhen but Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted that the Reds must include an additional €20 million to secure the deal.

Chiesa is currently valued at €14 million, while Núñez is priced at €45 million. With the extra €20 million, the total package would reach €79 million, exceeding Osimhen’s €70 million valuation on Transfermarkt.

The 26-year-old has cemented his status as one of the world’s top strikers over the past three years. Despite his desire to leave Napoli for a bigger club last summer, a permanent transfer failed to materialize, leading to a season-long loan at Galatasaray. There, Osimhen netted 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances, guiding the Turkish side to a domestic double. His overhead kick against Antalyaspor was voted the Super Lig’s Goal of the Season, earning 65.8% of fan votes.

Galatasaray now hope to sign him permanently, but they face competition from several top Premier League clubs. Osimhen has repeatedly rejected lucrative offers from the Middle East, including a recent €30 million-per-year proposal from Al-Hilal, only for the Saudi club to return with an improved €50 million-per-year package.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has hinted that Osimhen may be holding out for a move to Old Trafford. However, United’s pursuit remains uncertain, as reports suggest they are reluctant to re-enter negotiations unless the striker lowers his wage demands.
