The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has hailed Senator for Ogun West, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s quality leadership and rare passion for education on his 56th birthday.

This is contained in a statement signed by National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NANS, Comrade Samson Ajasa Adeyemi.

Born on August 10, 1969, the accountant-turned-politician clocked 56 on Sunday.

NANS said the presence of Senator Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, in Ogun State has birthed a new paradigm shift in the politics and governance of the state.

“Through quality and exceptional leadership, he has brought unprecedented political dividends something our people have long yearned for,” the national student body said.

It added that the senator’s leadership style is people-centered, transparent, and impact-driven, leaving no one in doubt that governance can truly be a tool for collective progress when placed in capable hands.

The statement reads, “From massive empowerment programmes, scholarships and bursaries for students, installation of solar streetlights across campuses, procurement of shuttle buses for student mobility, to construction of modern roads, well-equipped schools, functional hospitals, and healthcare facilities, and the distribution of mechanised farming tools and equipment to farmers, Senator YAYI has touched every sphere of life.

“These are not mere promises but verifiable projects that continue to improve the quality of life for thousands of constituents.

“His understanding of legislative dynamics has seen him rise to the prestigious position of Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, where he has used his influence to secure developmental projects for Ogun West and beyond.

“This is proof that Senator YAYI not only understands the business of lawmaking but also possesses the political will to transform budgetary allocations into real, life-changing projects.”

NANS emphasised that beyond infrastructure and economic empowerment, the senator has shown rare passion for education and youth development.

“His scholarship schemes, bursary awards, and consistent engagement with student communities reflect a leader who invests in the future.

“He understands that the strength of any society lies in its human capital and has, therefore, made deliberate efforts to mentor and support young Nigerians in their academic and professional pursuits.

“As we celebrate his 56th birthday, NANS acknowledges Senator YAYI not just as a political figure but as a symbol of renewed hope, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria.

“His service to humanity, his dedication to community development, and his exemplary representation are worthy of emulation by leaders across the country.

“On this special day, NANS celebrates a leader whose achievements speak louder than his words, a true statesman, a bridge-builder, and a man of the people. May the years ahead bring even greater accomplishments in his service to Ogun State, Nigeria, and humanity,” the statement further reads.
