Akwa Ibom State representative in the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Patience Nnyenime, has applauded Governor Umo Eno for his huge investments in education and youth development.
She also commended the governor for the recent approvals of N1.3billion for bursary and N1.9billion for exams fees saying that the gestures were not just big reliefs to parents but testament to Eno’s commitment towards securing the future of young people in the state
In a statement to journalists after being inaugurated as NANS Ex-Officio II, Nnyenime said that the governor’s gesture was a huge honour on her day of inauguration.
“We commend the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, for his unwavering investment in education and youth development, especially through the approval of bursaries for eligible students across the state which came as an honour on my Inauguration day.

“We sincerely appreciate Governor Umo Eno for prioritising education and investing in the future of young people. The recent bursary approvals of 1.3Billion and 1.9 billon exams fees have provided hope and relief to countless students and reflects responsive leadership,” she said.
She described the bursary programme as a significant intervention that has reduced financial hardship for thousands of students while demonstrating the government’s commitment to educational advancement.
While unveiling her agenda, she promised to strengthen the voice of Akwa Ibom students on the national stage while contributing meaningfully to the broader vision of a stronger, more responsive and student focused NANS.
“I consider this office a call to selfless service. My priority is to ensure that the voices of Akwa Ibom students and Nigerian students at large are heard, respected and translated into meaningful action.
Through dialogue, collaboration and advocacy, we will pursue policies that improve learning conditions and expand opportunities for students.”
