After a thrilling display of academic prowess, Orodo Secondary Technical School emerged victorious at the maiden Inter-Schools Quiz Competition, hosted by the Prince Bright Chimezie Youth Transformation Foundation (PBC-YTF).
The event, which held on December 12, 2025, saw eight secondary schools from Orodo, Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Imo State, compete for top honours.
The competition was a testament to the Foundation’s commitment to youth empowerment and academic excellence. Founder, Prince Bright Chimezie, a renowned aviation professional and humanitarian, said the initiative was aimed at giving back to his community.
The top three schools took home impressive cash prizes. The champions, Orodo Secondary Technical School were rewarded with N500,000; the runners-up, Infinity Secondary School, Orodo, got N300,000, Francisca International Secondary School went home with N100,000 for their third place finish.
The event was hailed as a major boost to academic competition and youth development in Orodo, aligning with the Foundation’s goal to inspire, educate, and transform the next generation.
Prince Chimezie’s vision for the Foundation is rooted in his strong faith and commitment to community service. Through gospel outreaches, skill-acquisition programmes, and technology-driven initiatives, PBC-YTF aims to holistically develop youths, described by the founder as “the greater tomorrows of Orodo and beyond”.
The success of the quiz competition has set the stage for more initiatives from the Foundation, cementing its position as a driving force in Imo State.
