The Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) Mr. Olorundare Thomas has paid a courtesy visit on the Inspector -General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun to explore ways of strengthening collaboration in the areas of enforcement of compulsory insurance.
During the visit, NAICOM boss sought the opinion, suggestions and support of the IGP on ways to ensure that everyone keys into NAICOM’s vision and mission to
enforce compulsory insurance, especially of government assets and other valuables.
The NAICOM Chief has been visiting state governors in the country for the same purpose given the precarious state of affairs in the country.
The compulsory insurances are Motor third-party insurance; Builders liability insurance (Building under construction); Workmen’s compensation insurance; Occupier’s liability insurance (Public buildings); Healthcare professional indemnity insurance and Statutory group life insurance.
Responding, the IGP, Mr. Egbetokun who appreciated the team promised to support and work closely with the Commission to achieve its mandates.
