The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), yesterday, announced the commencement of its aerial display rehearsals holding in Abuja,the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), and Lagos, as part of preparations to mark the 61 Anniversary celebration of the service scheduled for May 23..
It has, therefore, called on the public, especially residents of Abuja and Lagos not to panic and go about their legitimate businesses.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ojodame, in a statement, said the aerial manoeuvres are designed to enhance the spectacle of the celebration’s grand finale and to demonstrate the professionalism and operational capabilities of the NAF.

“The Nigerian Air Force wishes to inform members of the public, particularly residents of Abuja and Lagos, that aerial display rehearsals are ongoing in both cities as part of preparations for activities marking the 61st Anniversary Celebration of the NAF, scheduled for 23 May 2025.
These aerial manoeuvres are designed to enhance the spectacle of the celebration’s grand finale and to demonstrate the professionalism and operational capabilities of the NAF.
“Residents are kindly advised not to panic, but to go about their normal activities, as the rehearsals are carefully planned and executed with strict adherence to safety standards. The NAF appreciates your understanding and continued support”.
