My wife admitted abusing our daughters after claiming video was AI –Husband

Husband of the Anambra woman arrested over the alleged abuse of her daughters in a video circulated on social media, Mr. Ikechukwu Onyeanyusi, has narrated how his wife initially dismissed the footage as artificial intelligence-generated before allegedly admitting the act during police interrogation.

Onyeanyusi said he was unaware of the alleged abuse until a friend drew his attention to the disturbing video involving his wife, Mrs. Anulika Nwokike, and their daughters. He said he immediately returned home and confronted his wife, but she denied responsibility and claimed the video had been generated using AI.

“My friend called and showed me the video of my wife molesting my daughters. When I watched it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I rushed home and confronted her, but she denied it, saying it was AI. Immediately, the police arrived at my house, conducted a search and arrested us.

“When we got to the police station, I was asked to wait outside while my wife was interrogated. The DPO later called me into his office and asked my wife to confess in my presence. My wife admitted that she truly committed the act. I looked at her and asked her again, and she reconfirmed what she had said. At that point, I was weak, confused, and deeply disappointed,” Onyeanyusi said.

He appealed to the public and relevant authorities to show compassion and provide the necessary support for his daughters as they recover from the incident.

The Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare said it was working with law enforcement agencies to ensure that the children receive psychological, welfare, and protective support. The ministry also commended members of the public whose information led to the intervention of the authorities.

Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, reiterated the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration’s zero-tolerance policy on child abuse and exploitation.

She urged residents to promptly report suspected cases of child abuse, stressing that protecting children from violence, exploitation, and other forms of abuse remained a collective responsibility.
