Reality TV star and influencer Natasha Akide, better known as Symply Tacha, has opened up about the driving force behind her career, her record-breaking achievements, and her growing ambitions in the beauty industry, including plans for a cosmetics line and an upcoming book.

Speaking in a recent interview with Saturday Sun, the former Big Brother Naija housemate reflected on her journey, crediting her late mother as her strongest source of inspiration.

“I had a very hardworking and prayerful mother. Even though she’s late, I always feel the need and urge to make her proud. If she had the same opportunity I have right now, she would do everything I have done and even more. That is why I keep being me,” she revealed.

Tacha, who has continued to expand her influence beyond reality television into entrepreneurship and beauty, also spoke about the inspiration behind her eye-catching outfit at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), noting that it took about three months to complete.

She also revealed that the look symbolised her dual Guinness World Records in the beauty category, where she achieved the “Most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and Most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours” during her Tacha Beauty Festival in Lagos.

“My double Guinness Book of Records honours were behind it. I am a beauty founder, and I have plans to launch my cosmetic line by September. It will be called Tacha Beauty. I wanted my outfit and overall look to reflect that journey.”

The entrepreneur added that her decision to pursue makeup artistry was deeply personal and that she began at age 14.

According to her, the long-standing passion made it natural for her to attempt record-breaking feats in the industry.

“I’ve been into makeup since I was 14 years old. I didn’t want to keep explaining how good I am, I just wanted to show my skills,” she said, adding that her upcoming beauty brand is a continuation of that passion.

Beyond business, Tacha also offered words of encouragement to young women, urging them to remain confident and determined in pursuing their goals.

“I want them to keep getting inspired. They should not stop; they should not ask for permission; they should keep soaring. Be confident in yourselves and live your best lives because you only live once,” she advised.

She further disclosed that she is currently working on a book project, hinting that the publication will be released soon as part of her expanding creative and entrepreneurial portfolio.
