Senator Jarigbe Agom, the lawmaker representing Cross River North in the national assembly says his intervention in the health needs of his constituents is not for political gains.
Senator Jarigbe disclosed this in Ogoja, local government area while formally enrolling 500 constituents into the Cross River Health Insurance Scheme for one year.
The lawmaker’s intervention which is through his #JariCare Health Insurance, is designed to provide unhindered access to quality medical care.
Speaking at the cheque presentation ceremony held at General Hospital, Ogoja, Senator Jarigbe, represented by Esther Ellah, CEO of Dazzle Empowerment Initiative, implored beneficiaries to take full advantage of the program.

According to him, “Healthcare is not a privilege; it is a fundamental right.
“While politics plays a role in governance, true leadership is measured by direct impact on people’s lives.
“This initiative is about securing health and dignity, not political gains,” he asserted.
The lawmaker described the initiative as the initial phase of a broader humanitarian endeavor aimed at fortifying healthcare accessibility within the region.
Chief Godwin Iyala, the Director General of the Health insurance agency welcomed the initiative saying it underscores the lawmaker’s unwavering dedication to public health.
