My hope is in judiciary -Agom-Eze

Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Umahi,

From Chijioke Agwu, Abakaliki

Governor David Umahi’s main challenger for the Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs. Ann Agom-Eze, yesterday, said she was hopeful the judiciary would eventually return her mandate.

Reacting to the publishing of Governor Umahi’s name by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Agom-Eze insisted that she was the rightful owner of the ticket.

Agom-Eze and Umahi had been in court over the authentic candidate of the APC for the Ebonyi South zone.

But on Tuesday Umahi made the final list of candidates for the 2023 senatorial election for the zone, after he was earlier omitted from the list of candidates released in June following controversy which trailed his emergence as the candidate of the ruling party.

Reacting, Agom-Eze, in a statement, urged her supporters to be calm and law-abiding, expressing hope that the Appeal Court will give her justice soon.
