Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has reiterated the commitment of his administration towards providing equal opportunities and leverages to all zones of the state.
Speaking during a thank you visit by the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates made up of major stakeholders from the five local government areas of the senatorial district, led by the Deputy Governor, Patricia Obila, the governor noted the challenges encountered by the people during the by-election but expressed satisfaction with their graciousness in victory.
He thanked the people of Ebonyi South senatorial district, especially APC faithful for their agility all through the campaign period and their ability to stand firm during the by-election and thus achieved a resounding victory for APC.
While presenting the senator-elect, the deputy governor and leader of the delegation also conveyed to the governor the appreciation of the Minister of Works and immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, for being there always for the people of Ebonyi South and for the honour of producing a round peg to succeed him in the 10th Senate.
The deputy governor expressed the commitment of the people of Ebonyi South stakeholders towards honouring his divine mandate administration, always with total loyalty and solidarity
In their separate speeches, the spokespersons for each of the local government areas thanked the governor for encouraging them to have a hitch-free election and seamless victory, which produced one of the best brains from the zone, Anthony Okorie Ani, to represent Ebonyi South Senatorial District in the 10th Senate.
They expressed confidence in the competence and will of the senator-elect to fill the gap in the vacuum created by the immediate past representative of the zone in the red chamber who resigned from the Senate in August 2023 for further national service as minister.
