Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for re‑election in 2027, saying his dispute was with Minister Gboyega Oyetola, who he blamed for the ongoing local government crisis and not the president.
Adeleke stated this when he addressed cabinet members, special advisers and top government officials at the government House, saying the local government crisis in the state had not affected his decision to back Tinubu.
“We have no problem with President Tinubu. He is our leader. He represents the South West. I restate our endorsement of Mr President for re‑election in the best interest of the South West,” he said.

Adeleke thanked Osun people for embracing Accord since he joined the party, saying “Osun has become yellow” and noting that weekly walks organised by local chapters were drawing thousands of participants. He urged officials to consolidate the party’s grassroots strength through membership registration and voter mobilisation across all 332 wards in the state.
The governor pledged continued delivery of what he called “democratic dividends,” saying his administration would intensify focus on youth, women and workers while consolidating gains in infrastructure. He said the next phase of the administration’s agenda would emphasise agro‑industrialisation, improved access to quality education and health services, and further improvements in governance.
“Go out and build on the popularity of Accord since we came on board. Solidify our hold on the grassroots. Flaunt our record of achievements across the local governments and get set for open campaign for victory on August 15th,” Adeleke told the meeting.
The session was attended by Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; Yeye Dupe Adeleke‑Sanni; Speaker Adewale Egbedun; Accord state chairman Pastor Victor Akande; PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi; commissioners, special advisers, council chairmen, senior special assistants and other state and party officials.
