Poet, spoken-word artiste, journalist, and author, Tofarati Ige, popularly known as Grand Tycoon, has revealed that his books have become valuable tools for winning the hearts of women.

During a recent interview with Sunday Sun, the creative writer stated that his literary works, including “Town Crier” and “Oriki (Praise Poetry)”, often evoke admiration from female fans and admirers, making conversations and relationships more straightforward.

According to him, poetry naturally conveys emotions, depth, and romance—qualities many women appreciate.

“My books actually make wooing women easy. Many men have testified that after reading my works, their love lives were revitalised because they found the right words to say to women. It made the process smoother.”

With a passion for storytelling, culture, identity, and African expression, Ige also noted that beyond romance, his books were created to inspire people and preserve creativity through words.

“Writing is deeper than attraction for me. It is a calling and a way of documenting emotions, society and culture,” he said.

Known for blending poetry with social commentary and performance art, Grand Tycoon has continued to build a reputation in Nigeria’s literary and entertainment circles through spoken word performances, journalism, and creative writing.

He further encouraged young Nigerians to embrace reading and writing, emphasising that literature remains a powerful tool for communication and self-expression.
