First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has declared that her birthday wish as she turns 65 on Sunday, September 21, is to complete the national library project.
She has, therefore, made a special appeal focused on education and national development.
In a heartfelt appeal, the First Lady revealed that she would dedicate her milestone birthday to God, choosing a quiet day of reflection over celebratory fanfare. Instead of accepting traditional gifts, Mrs Tinubu urged well-wishers to contribute to a cause that embodies her lifelong passion, completing the National Library.

“As I mark this special day by the grace of God, I am dedicating my birthday to a project close to my heart. My love for education inspires this decision and the completion of the National Library will be the greatest birthday gift I could receive.”
To facilitate contributions, the First Lady has established the “Oluremi@65 Education Fund,” coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Education.
She appealed to those wishing to send cards, flowers, cakes or gifts to instead make donations to this fund.
