Plateau State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Barr Caleb Mutfwang has promised Plateau South Senatorial District responsible leadership that will attract massive development and correct the inefficiency of Governor Simon Lalong’s administration.
Mutfwang disclosed this yesterday in Shendam Local Government Area while rounding up his tour of Plateau South Senatorial District ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Flanked by his running mate, Hon Josephine Piyo, Mutfwang promised to provide the kind of leadership that would be responsive to the needs of the people and address the leadership deficit of the Lalong administration.
He bemoaned the neglect the Local Government Areas in Plateau South suffered of a lack of development and competent leadership since 2015 and pledged to fight for the Plateau people, saying the welfare of citizens would be his topmost priority when elected.
Mutfwang reconciled the party’s critical stakeholders in Shendam LGA, Hon Kemi Nshe, Hon Johnbull Shekarau, and Hon Gregory Yelong, and prayed for the people to go into the next election as a united front.
The Director General Atiku/Mutfwang campaign council, Chief Latep Dabang, who set the tone for the reconciliation of the political gladiators urged them to exhibit the spirit of the brotherhood now and after the 2023 general elections for sound political victory in the Southern zone.
Nshe, Shekarau and Yelong who embraced each other in a fervent prayer offered by the Governorship candidate, sang and dance “one love, keep us together” and promised not to allow any political difference to create cracks among them.
Mutfwang and the team had earlier paid homage to the Long Gamai of the Gamai nation, His Royal Highness, Miskoom Martin Mudu’utrie Shaldas III, who was represented by the District Head of Shendam, Miskoom Keneth Kwaptung, the Madakin Shendam.
The team also visited the Long Dorok of Dorok Chiefdom HRH Miskoom David Isa Dongban and interfaced with the traditional council and the people of the community as well as the Galadiman Yelwa, HRH Hassan Galadima, where he received their royal blessings.
Mutfwang had visited Quan’pan, Mikang, Langtang North, Langtang South and Wase Local Government Areas where he had a heart-to-heart engagement with the people in a town hall.
