Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, on his election as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside other members of the National Working Committee.
Mutfwang, in a message signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, described the election as not only deserving, but a thoughtful demonstration of the APC’s commitment to inclusive, people-oriented leadership under the guidance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly as the nation looks ahead to the 2027 general elections.
The message read, “Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has joined millions of Nigerians, well-wishers, admirers and party faithful across the world in his successful screening and well-deserved election as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) congratulating his esteemed brother
_The Governor commended the maturity and foresight of party leaders and stakeholders who have continued to promote unity, tolerance, and strategic reforms within the party. He noted that such efforts have strengthened internal cohesion and ensured a level playing field for all members to pursue their aspirations without rancour.

Mutfwang further acknowledged the tireless efforts and visionary leadership of Prof. Goshwe since his unanimous adoption in June 2025. He highlighted key initiatives, including reconciliation and forgiveness among party members, the reorganization of party membership through e-registration, and the repositioning of the APC for sustained growth and electoral success.
While you expressing strong confidence in Prof. Goshwe’s capacity, the Governor emphasized his expertise in digital transformation, energy research, and ICT, as well as his distinguished service as a Resident Electoral Commissioner.
He noted that these credentials position him to lead the party to a resounding victory in 2027.
Governor Mutfwang also expressed deep appreciation to key national leaders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Governors alongside other critical stakeholders and party faithful, for zoning the National Chairmanship position to the North Central region, particularly Plateau State.
He reassured the party that Plateau State is endowed with competent and capable individuals of proven integrity in public service and expressed confidence that Prof. Goshwe will foster unity, peace, and progressive leadership within the party, while strengthening its legacy of justice, tolerance and compassion.
