The Chief Imam of Oluwanishola (Eleganza), Marouf Akintola, has charged Muslim faithful to remain submissive and obidient to the commandments and doctrines of Allah.

He made the call at the Eid prayers held at Oluwanishola Eleganza Estate in Lagos as Muslim faithful gathered to pray to Allah.

According to him, “today is supposed to be a day of sadness but Allah turned it to a day of felicity and festival because instead of slaughtering a son, a ram was supplied for sacrifice.

“Prophet Muhammad was ordered to slaughter his only son for sacrifice but Allah provided a ram for the sacrifice and it is because of this that we are celebrating the slaughtering of a ram instead of slaughtering our sons or loved ones.”

He therefore enjoined the congregation to be submissive because the prophet submitted to God’s command to sacrifice his son, and the son also submitted by not being confrontational with his father.

Speaking to journalists at the prayer ground, Alhaji Tajudeen Okoya, the younger brother of business mogul and Chairman of Eleganza Group of Companies, Alhaji Razaq Okoya, he felicitated with Muslims for seeing another Ramadan festival, noting that being alive is a gift to be thankful for any day, anytime.

He urged Nigerians to be steadfast and believe in the greatness of the country adding that the present administration should be given more time to meet their aspirations.
