Award-winning actor, Timini Egbuson has said Nollywood does not get commensurate support from the music industry.

According to him, Nollywood actors support their counterparts in the music industry but the energy is not reciprocated.

Egbuson, whose latest movie Reel Love is currently making waves, said this in an X post on Saturday.

“Really wish musicians supported Nollywood the way we support their music but that’s a conversation for another day,” he said.

Meanwhile, Reel Love hit cinemas on Valentine’s Day, grossing N40.5 million on its opening day.

Created by Egbuson and directed by Kayode Kasum, the movie is a romantic drama that tells the story of Tomide, a social media influencer, and Rachel, an entrepreneur, who eventually fall in love after initial hostilities.

Reel Love was written by Ife Olujuyigbe.
