Event technology company, Mobile Screens and Sound Limited (MSS), has rolled out the drums in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
With the theme: ‘The Art of Experience’ the gala event, which held on Thursday, October 8 at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together business leaders, government officials, industry stakeholders, clients and partners of the organisation.
Founded by Tunbosun Kola-Daisi, MSS has spent two decades providing sound, lighting, LED screens, staging and integrated production services for corporate, entertainment, government and cultural events.
Speaking at the occasion, Kola-Daisi said the company’s early years were challenging, as LED screen technology was relatively unfamiliar in the Nigerian market.
He disclosed that it took nearly five years for the business to break even, adding that the company remained committed to its vision of transforming live events through technology.
A major highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of MSS’s new logo and refreshed brand identity, signaling a new phase in its growth.
Speaking further, Kola-Daisi stated that the company’s next phase would focus on innovation and expansion across Africa, as well as investment in workforce development.
The anniversary also highlighted the MSS Event Tech Academy, which was established to address the shortage of skilled professionals in the event technology sector.
Launched in partnership with Kola Daisi University, the 10-week programme provides practical and technical training in six areas, including LED screen engineering, sound engineering, lighting design, video production, event management, and rigging and trussing.
More than 60 students completed the inaugural programme, with five graduates securing employment with MSS immediately after their training.
The company said it would continue to invest in talent development, raise professional standards and advance event technology solutions across Nigeria and the wider African market.
A drone display over Lagos followed the launch.
