The Military Pensions Board (MPB) has warned against the planned protest by members of the Coalition of Concerned Veterans (CCV) and some retired personnel of first and second Quarters 2024, over the alleged non-payment of gratuity and Security Debarment Allowance (SDA).

MPB Public Relations Officer, Squadron Leader Aliyu Mohammed, who stated this, said the board remains committed to the welfare of all retirees and continues to carry out its mandate with transparency, professionalism and respect for ex-service personnel.

He urged concerned individuals or groups to seek clarification through official channels. He said representatives of the CCV or affected retirees were welcome to visit the Board for verification and resolution of any issues.

Aliyu, in a statement issued in Abuja, said: “The Board wishes to clarify that gratuities for all retired personnel of the stated periods have been paid as scheduled. Claims suggesting otherwise are unfounded and likely based on misinformation.

“It is also important to note that the Military Pensions Board is responsible solely for the payment of gratuity and pension. As of date, all entitled retirees have been duly paid.

“The MPB remains committed to the welfare of all retirees and continues to carry out its mandate with transparency, professionalism and respect for ex-service
