Mounoye bids mother-in-law farewell

The Igbokwe family, Akwu Akokwa,  Ideato North Local Government, Imo State, will today accord their matriarch, Lolo Ihenyinwa Igbokwe, 80, a befitting farewell, at her compound, after a funeral service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Akwu Akokwa.

Tomorrow, Chief Jumbo Mounoye, an in-law, with family, friends, will at 1pm pay (Iga Okwukwu) condolences to the Igbokwes.

Lolo Igbokwe was a devout  Christian of the Anglican faith, businesswoman, philanthropist and community leader.

The widower,  Chief Christian Igbokwe (Akukalia Akokwa),  was until his retirement, the traditional Prime Minister of Akwu and foremost industrialist in Onitsha, Anambra State.

She is also survived by a son, Chijioke and nine daughters who have carved niches for themselves as medical doctors, pharmacists, chartered accountants and successful businesswomen as well as in-laws including Chief Munonye (Ogbujianyim Akokwa) and Chief Israel Orjiekwe ( Akuzurumba).
