Nollywood actress Paschaline Alex has announced the arrival of her first child, marking a new chapter in her life as a mother.
The actress, best known for her role in the popular television series Jenifa’s Diary, shared the news on Instagram while posting a series of maternity photographs.
Reflecting on her pregnancy journey, Alex said she now understands the often-repeated claim that motherhood changes a woman, noting that the experience has given the statement a deeper meaning for her.
“They say motherhood changes you. I think you only truly understand what that means when it happens to you,” she gushed.
Looking back at her maternity photographs, the actress said she sees a woman who was gradually transitioning into motherhood while navigating the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy.

She admitted that while there were days she felt prepared for motherhood, there were also moments when she was uncertain about what lay ahead.
According to her, the period was marked by a mixture of excitement, uncertainty, fear, gratitude, and numerous questions, even as she continued her journey.
Alex said holding her baby has now given her a different perspective on the experience, revealing that she was not only carrying and nurturing a child but also evolving into a new version of herself.
“I wasn’t just growing a baby. I was growing into a new version of myself too,” she wrote.
The actress added that she remains a learner on the journey of motherhood and suggested that embracing the process of learning and adapting may be essential to becoming a mother.
While the actress has publicly celebrated the birth of her child, details about the child’s father’s identity and her marital status remain undisclosed.
