Most marriages killing women’s dreams, says 40andFabulousNaija creator

Most marriages killing women’s dreams — Abani

From Okwe Obi, Abuja

The Chief Executive Officer, Mother of Models International, and creator of the 40andFabulousNaija reality TV show, Amb. Jolly Abani, has claimed that most marital demands have stifled the aspirations of many women.

Abani, who addressed journalists yesterday in Abuja ahead of the Season 3 grand finale of the 40andFabulousNaija Reality TV Show, which is billed to hold in March 2026, said it was not too late for women, especially those above 40 years, to achieve their dreams.

According to her, for decades, women in their forties have been marginalised, often perceived as having lost their youthfulness and discouraged from pursuing their dreams, ambitions and purpose.

Aside from seeking support from the government and other organisations, she explained that the show is designed to educate, heal and reposition women aged 40 and above in society.

She noted that the show provides training, empowerment and opportunities for women, children and older people across communities.

“This landmark 40andFabulousNaija Season 3 grand finale will hold on 21st March 2026 at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja,” she said.

“40andFabulousNaija is not just a show, it is a movement. It is therapy, empowerment and a second chance for women who need healing to become whole again.

“The project seeks to challenge stereotypes that often sideline women over 40, including single mothers, divorcees, widows and survivors of abuse.

“It was created to explore, celebrate and unlock the untapped potential of mature women and, since its inception, the show has remained a beacon of hope, strength and renewed confidence for women across Nigeria and beyond,” she said.

Director of the show, Kennedy Ajah, added that 40andFabulousNaija is a platform for vibrant, multi-talented, multitasking, ambitious and youthful Nigerian women who are proudly 40+ and fabulous.

“Every season, thousands of women audition, and 10 exceptional housemates are selected. They live together for one month, during which they undergo intensive training and mentorship by high-value, experienced coaches grounded in Christian values.

“40andFabulousNaija reaches millions of households nationwide, cutting across families, professionals, decision-makers and mature consumers with strong purchasing power.

“This show is not just entertainment—it is transformational storytelling, promoting values of growth, resilience, faith, entrepreneurship and nation-building,” he concluded.
