Mr. Jospeh Aloba, the father to the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, (Mohbad) has denied the claim by the deceased mother that he was the one who instructed their son’s friend, Primeboy to runaway after his death.
The deceased father, Aloba was reacting to an interview in an online television, in which the deceased mother, Ms. Bosede Adeyemo (known as Mama Mohbad), claimed that father confirmed to her , that he was was the one who told Primeboy to run away after death of his son .
In a statement issued by Monisola Odumosu, lawyer to the deceased’s father, Aloba denied the claim of Mohbad’s mother on run away of Primeboy.
The statement read in part:”Our client wishes to state that he did not and has not had any talks or discussions relating to the death of his son or any other issues with the said Primeboy since the death of his son, Ilerioluwa Aloba.
” The only time they met after the death of his son was at the Coroner Court sitting where Primeboy and our client only exchanged pleasantries in the presence of everyone and there was no discussions between them.
“This present statement, is no doubt, a lie coming from the mouth of a mother who has compromised her conscience and whose callous complicity is shrouding the cause of her son’s death and driving her crazy.
“Mr. Joseph Aloba will not cover anyone no matter how great or mighty the person may be. He is after justice for the untimely snuffing out of life of his great son. He uses this opportunity to urge Primeboy to tell the Coroner Court all what he knows without shielding anyone. The truth will surely come out even if it takes time. Our client believes that the will of justice may be slow, it will surely grind to the truth.
“We urge the general public to disregard such spurious assertions. Rather our client urges Ms Adeyemo to declare what she knows about the death of Mohbad and especially what she has heard from Wunmi (Mohbad’s wife) since she had been hobnobbing with her to divert attention from unravelling the cause of the death of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba. Such disclosure will help the police and the Coroner Court in their further investigation into the cause of death of the late singer”.
