The family of late musician Mohbad has requested anybody with information that might help with the ongoing inquiry into his death to come forward.
The family’s legal team expressed worry that certain sensitive material about the deceased’s death had been shared with the public over the internet.
Monisola Esther, a member of the family’s legal team, stated on Monday that such information should be made accessible to the police rather than the public.
“Given the nature of the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba and the information being released to the public space which ordinarily should have been given to the Police, the Aloba Family’s Legal Team wishes to advise that anyone with useful and relevant information that could aid in the search for and the circumstances leading to the singer’s death should reach out to the Legal Team to facilitate proper legal connectivity.
“Also, the Police can be contacted to ensure the protection of the witnesses and suspects. Additionally, the coroner’s inquest has issued witness summonses for those relevant to its investigation.
“Please, note that Joseph Aloba does not seek to pursue any personal relationships at this point. His interest is focused on finding out the details of what happened to his dear son and the circumstances that led to his untimely demise.
“The Coroner’s Court is the best forum to disclose any information that could assist in the fact-finding mission of the court.”
