OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi will resume full training this week contrary to speculations that he has suffered a hamstring injury that could keep him out of the AFCON.
Moffi was not listed by his French club for a Ligue 1 game at Le Havre over the weekend.
However, SCORENigeria has since learnt that he is only nursing a minor injury and it was only a precaution for him not to feature at the weekend.
“Terem not playing at the weekend was only precautionary,” a top source close to the striker informed SCORENigeria
“He only has a minor injury and he will resume training this week.”
Moffi is expected to make his AFCON debut next month in Cote d’Ivoire with the Super Eagles.
Nigeria opens their 2023 AFCON campaign on January 14 against Equatorial Guinea in a Group A match in Abidjan.
