“Dear Sir, I feel very happy to inform you that the spirit that usually came out every two weeks in our village to terrorize people and was responsible for mass failure in our family’s endeaviours has stopped appearing. Every night in two weeks the evil spirit would appear and be calling names of some prominent people in our large family; each of the names he mentioned would begin to experience serious failure in life, sickness and death. “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Acts 1:8.
When God gets ready to do something, He makes preparation for it in many ways. He prepares a people, a product and a place to perpetuate his plan. He also raises a man with a message and a ministry which produces a movement that further fulfills his will by various methods and means.
In the destruction of the world by flood, Noah was the man, the ark was the means. Repentance was the message. Water was the method by which the wicked were taken away. The place was on top of the water.
When he was ready to free the children from Egypt he made the same preparation. Moses was his man. Miracles in nature were his product. Canaan country was the place for perpetuating his plan.
During the dark ages according to God’s consistence pattern preparation was made for the deliverance of the church from its bondages to a totalitarian religious system. Church members were slaves to religious rituals and to dead doctrines as penance, purgatory, Gnosticism, asceticism, superstition and so on.
The Church was in as much bondage spiritually as the children of Israel were physically. The Holy Spirit began to raise up voice of hope. Men with vision as well as messages arose producing movements that prepared the way for the restoration of the church.
The church passed through many things from one era to another till the present Pentecostal era. Now the third restoration movement called the Pentecostal came into existence because the Holy Spirit was continuing his commissioned work of restoring all truth to the church.
The Holy Spirit authored the Pentecostal movement as to restore his spirit to his powerful performance in the church. By getting the individual believer with “other tongue” and by releasing the Holy Ghost gift to the church.
It is the same church that Satan is fighting as he fought other church eras but his battle against the Pentecostal church is a crafty type and well advanced. That is why he has projected his minister into different Pentecostal churches to sway majority into bondage. Nevertheless the church must be saved;
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” Eph.6:12
Spiritual warfare is the warfare that is fought in an invisible level or layers of the inner world. This warfare is the greatest of all warfare. Physical weapons are invalid in this connection, however, any person or group of persons embarking on this warfare must first of all meet all the required propensities necessary for it.
These propensities are spiritual; in essence this is so because the warfare is spiritual. Therefore any carnal person who dwells consciously in the flesh will never be able to fight this type of battle. Any institution bereft of the whole spiritual proclivities definitely is not worthy to fight this battle. This will bring us to the understanding that the church as an entity is not deficiency of the biblical principles hence Christ is hitherto the HEAD OF THE CHURCH. The bible says: “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the Church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all” Eph 1:22-23
This is the truth of both Christ and his Church. Christ is the head of the church, there is no doubt about this. As the head of the church, the battle between him {Christ the head of the Church}, and Satan the overseer of principalities and powers are spiritual. When He [Christ] was physically here on earth He was in a constant battle with Satan the prince of darkness finally He overcame and His victory is what both the church as an individual and institute have today as our victory. Praise God.
Upon the victory Christ brought to us knowing fully well that Satan will continually be fighting the institution of which He is the head, He says: “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual rock that followed them: and that rock was Christ. 1cor. 10:4
Further to this the Bible reports:
“Nevertheless, the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal…” II Tim 2:19
Jesus made the above statements based on His knowledge of the ongoing spiritual battle between Him, his church and Satan for a long time, the prince of darkness together with his force have been fighting against the church but they have not and will not prevail. The victory of the church is sealed with the BLOOD OF THE LAMB.
