The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Henry Seriake Dickson, on Monday intensified the party’s nationwide mobilisation drive, receiving key stakeholders from Gombe State, Nasarawa State and the Federal Capital Territory, with a charge to scale up grassroots engagement and membership registration.
The Gombe delegation, led by the party’s National Vice Chairman, Danlami Arabs, and National Women Leader, Dudu Manuga, was received alongside other party officials as they presented a gubernatorial aspirant, Babayo Ardo, who held consultations with the national leadership.
Dickson, in his remarks, commended the state chapter for what he described as steady progress, noting that “Gombe is on course and doing well,” while urging party officials to intensify mobilisation efforts across the state.
In a similar development, the NDC leader received the Chairman of the Nasarawa State chapter, Dogo Shammah, who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the NDC. Shammah, a former Commissioner for Information, was accompanied by the State Secretary, Osokunu, also a former council chairman.

Dickson said the Nasarawa chapter was making strong progress, commending the leadership for positive briefings and urging them to sustain momentum through aggressive mobilisation.
The mobilisation visits also extended to the Federal Capital Territory, where a delegation of young party members, alongside a House of Representatives aspirant, Jesse Williams Ejemot, met with the national leadership to express support and solidarity.
Reaffirming the party’s inclusive stance, Dickson encouraged increased participation of youths and women, noting that the NDC remains open to all aspirants seeking to drive change.
He further urged Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing nationwide membership registration, stressing that a broad-based movement was critical to achieving the party’s objectives.
“Together, we will build a strong, inclusive, and people-driven political movement that delivers real change for all Nigerians,” he said, while thanking citizens for their growing confidence in the party.
