Miyetti Allah expels Bauchi, Taraba, Adamawa chairmen for unethical conduct

From Fred Ezeh, Abuja

Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, the Fulani Pastoralists Association, has announced the expulsion of the Bauchi, Taraba, and Adamawa States chairmen of the association with immediate effect.

They are Usaini Buzaye, Bauchi State; Banmi Bello Jani, Taraba State; and Usman Abubakar Yirllabe, Adamawa State.

President of the association, Alhaji (Dr) Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, in a statement signed by Ambassador Tasiu Sulaiman, the National Public Relations Officer of the association, indicated that the action followed a series of complaints received from members of the association in the aforementioned states regarding unethical conduct, violations of the association’s rules and regulations, betrayal of trust, and negligence of organisational responsibilities.

He said the association conducted a thorough investigation that confirmed the validity of the allegations. “To this end, we notify our members across the country about the development, and we urge them to dissociate themselves from the expelled leaders.”

Dr Bodejo said the association has officially notified the security agencies in the affected states to monitor the activities of the dismissed leaders to ensure compliance with law and order.

He also extended apologies to its members in Bauchi, Taraba, and Adamawa States for the inconveniences caused by this development and assured them that henceforth, only leaders with proven integrity and discipline will be appointed to head the association in their respective states.

He called on all members of the association nationwide to continue to show full loyalty and support to the national leadership of the association, and to the new state executives that will be appointed for the three affected states in due course.
