The House of Representatives, on Thursday, passed the State Police Bill by voice vote amid protests by the minority caucus of the House.

Minority Leader Fred Agbedi, who led a walkout by some members of the opposition shortly after the approval of the committee’s report at the Committee of the Whole, said it was a violation of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), as well as the House Standing Orders, to resort to a voice vote to decide a constitutional alteration bill.
