A mining consortium, NAPAS Nigeria, has projected annual revenue of N10 billion, with plans to export 400,000 metric tonnes of coal by the end of the year.
The consortium also plans to increase its workforce to 1,000 by January 2027, while committing to process 70 per cent of its mined resources locally to promote value addition and create jobs.
The Chief Operational Manager of NAPAS Nigeria, Eze Nnadi, disclosed this in an interview on the sidelines of the 11th Nigeria Mining Week in Abuja, saying the company was committed to ensuring Nigeria derived greater economic benefits from its mineral resources.
He said the consortium would export only 30 per cent of its mined resources, while processing the remaining 70 per cent into finished products locally.
Nnadi explained that the company operates in coal, gold and lithium, with international technical partners providing support for its mining activities.
He said Enugu State was selected as the consortium’s first major destination for mining and mineral exploitation because of its mineral potential and the state government’s efforts to create an enabling environment for investors.
According to him, NAPAS Nigeria currently has about 100 active workers and artisans, comprising core staff and other personnel, but plans to expand its workforce to 1,000 by January 2027 as operations gather momentum.
On host community development, Nnadi said the company would invest in education, primary healthcare and vocational training to ensure residents benefit from its operations.

He said the company supplied machinery for mining, road construction, agriculture and other sectors, with warehouses in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt.
Zeng disclosed that SANY Nigeria had more than 60 engineers, comprising Chinese and Nigerian personnel, to provide technical assistance and after-sales services to customers across the country.
He expressed the company’s interest in expanding its activities into southeastern Nigeria, particularly Enugu State, citing the area’s potential for coal and quarry mining.
He said the partnership was aimed at equipping mining operators with the machinery and technical support needed to expand their businesses and contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s solid minerals sector.
