Fast-rising Nigerian artiste Findite Eppe Jason, fondly known as Diteh, has unveiled his debut extended play (EP), ‘Mindless Attraction’.
The Bayelsa State native, who is signed to Jaw Town record label, marked the release with an electrifying listening party at Space Hub, Lekki in Lagos on Saturday night.
Diteh wowed attendees with an exhilarating performance of the EP’s five tracks: ‘Shayo,’ ‘Pay for Y$$$H,’ ‘For Your Head,’ ‘Turn Me On,’ and ‘Ebiteinye’.
The project, which delves into themes of love, enjoyment, and personal experience, showcases his ability to blend traditional African beats with modern elements.
In his remarks at the event, Diteh shared insights into his musical journey, which began in 2018.
He noted that ‘Mindless Attraction’ is his second project, following an earlier album. “This EP reveals a different side and energy. The songs come from a place of love, birth, and failure,” he told Saturday Sun.
Diteh also shared how the title ‘Mindless Attraction’ came about spontaneously. “It wasn’t something I took so long to figure out. It just felt right, and my label helped me push it out there,” he said.
Jaw Town Entertainment Limited, founded on October 14, 2022, aims to reshape the music landscape and amplify the voices of Nigerian artists globally.
The label’s Creative Director, Akpoborie Oreva, spoke about their partnership with Diteh. “Diteh found us. We met, which is important, and we have started this journey together and hope to conquer the world together,” he said.
Oreva also noted that Diteh is the first artist signed to Jaw Town and mentioned their collaboration with Afro Revived, a top talent management and promotions agency, to enhance their efforts.
