…West Ham moves closer to £20m deal for Nigerian
Super Eagles Raphael Onyedika’s name is increasingly being linked with AC Milan who recently appointed Massimiliano Allegri as new coach after an awful Italian Serie A season.
According to Gazzetta_it: “Raphael Onyedika is one of the midfielders being watched by the Rossoneri. The Club Bruge defensive midfielder had a great season. West Ham and Liverpool are also in the running.”
Meanwhile, according to the Daily Express, The Hammers are set to embark on another ambitious summer transfer window to sign tactically fitting players to complement Graham Potter’s style of play, as well as young prospects with potential for the club’s future.
They have reportedly sealed a deal for 19-year-old Celtic centre-forward, Daniel Cummings, and now Onyedika could be the next in line for a potential swoop to the East London club this summer.
As per the Daily Express, West Ham held positive talks with Onyedika’s entourage over the 24-year-old’s transfer to the club this summer.
His performances last season, including a goal against Manchester City in the Champions League, have piqued the interest of the Hammers, who are now looking to complete the swoop amid significant interest from other clubs.
Meanwhile, West Ham United is on the verge of strengthening its midfield with the signing of Nigerian international, Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge, according to journalist Sebastian Vidal, via GiveMeSport.
The Hammers have reportedly agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old, and negotiations with the Belgian club are progressing positively, with a transfer fee in the region of £20 million being discussed.
Onyedika has been a consistent performer for Club Brugge since his arrival in 2022, making over 90 league appearances and playing a pivotal role in the domestic and European campaigns.
