FC Midtjylland coach Mike Tullberg has praised Nigerian forwards Stanley Iheanacho and Friday Etim after the pair impressed in Monday’s 4-1 Superliga victory over Brøndby.
Iheanacho delivered a decisive attacking display by scoring twice, while Etim once again caused problems for the visitors with his strength and physicality as Midtjylland secured a convincing home victory.
Reflecting on the progress of the two Nigerians, Tullberg praised the steps they are taking while also pointing to the role of the experienced players around them in helping them perform at their best.
“It’s great that there are people who are taking such big steps as they are now. But it’s also important that those who have experience on our team are good at giving them a framework within which they can perform,” he said, as quoted by Sportherning.
